Photoshoot contest-Open all weekend long!

Okay everyone, since some of you are still wondering how to enter, and since I want to give everyone an equal chance to enter the contest, I am waiting all weekend long to let more people enter the drawing. Free Photoshoot Drawing

Now that we've recovered a bit from the BIG STORM, I'd like to let everyone know that the drawing for the free photoshoot will take place Friday evening, and the winner will be announced Saturday morning!

The Hurricane-like storm of 2011

For memories sake (for some of us this is a once in a lifetime opportunity-hopefully :s), I wanted to also upload a few images I took of the recent wind which swept through our humble little town on December 1, 2011. The first three images are that of the wind which had been clocked at 102 mph at it's greatest. It was equal to a type II Hurricane. The rest of the images are of it's after effects. One picture, that of the firehouse, was undergoing construction, and luckily therefore did not cause the side of the building to collapse, but it sure put construction behind schedule, for it bent a lot of the bars. I will also try to take and upload more images of this devasting storm. It has also left many homeowners without trees, missing shingles, and businesses without signs. I believe it was also a great warning to us all, that we need to always be prepared for emergencies such as this, because we were without electricity, and heat for 48 hours.
